Rumi Lakha, DO

Rumi Lakha, DO, is a board-certified family physician at Alena Skin Care in Paramount and Huntington Park, California. He has a distinct focus on anti-aging, skin care, and all other beauty-related treatment strategies. With more than 30 years of experience providing integrative care for men, women, and children, he enjoys taking the time to truly get to know his patients before getting started with their treatments.

Before going into medicine and opening numerous private practices, Dr. Lakha attended the University of California, San Diego for his undergraduate education. There, he chose to major in biology on the path to becoming a physician. After graduating in 1980, he completed his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. From there, he began an internship at Pacific Hospital of Long Beach. He has also received post-graduate training in IV infusion and cardiac disease.

Since completing his education and formal training, Dr. Lakha has continued his training with seminars, conferences, and even aesthetic medicine and cosmetic surgery certifications. He maintains memberships in several professional organizations, including the American Osteopathic Association, the American Board of Osteopathic Family Practice Physicians, and the American College of Family Physicians.

At Alena Skin Care, Dr. Lakha provides patients with a variety of innovative procedures, including skin treatments with the Icon™ laser, microneedling with and without platelet-rich plasma (PRP), Botox®, Juvéderm® fillers, and IV infusions. With these and other treatments, patients can find self-confidence and improved well-being.

Outside of Alena Skin Care, Dr. Lakha acts as the medical director of Star Care Home Health in Mission Hills, California. He has made appearances on radio talk shows, given lectures on health enhancement and nutrition, and published several articles of his own research in alternative medicine journals.
